Don’t let the analog name fool you. These camera systems are most common; the resolution has improved over the years and is quite impressive. These cameras are commonly connected to a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) which processes and records the video record. This unit is also what gives you access to view your cameras from almost anywhere.
Standalone cameras are often used independently, for smaller applications, or just live viewing. These units typically do not use an onsite video recorder; however, they can be configured to record small clips or images to a leased offsite storage facility. The biggest down side to cloud based video storage is if the internet feed is cut or goes down you lose your recording capabilities.
Service and installation for both residential and commercial properties
IP camera systems are the leader in camera systems due to such high resolution capabilities. While IP Camera systems are amazing they are more expensive than the more traditional CCTV system. IP Camera systems use an NVR (Network Video Recorder). IP systems are very scalable and typically used in high end applications or large scale projects where the highest possible resolution is needed.
